5 winners in a row now!
That’s right, the tease of the week has been won 5 in a row baby!
We now have a record of 6-3 and will look to keep that going this week.
As always, this is a gut pick not a system pick.
You will see the selections for our 13 point teaser below as well as a brief reasoning for each pick.
Michigan vs Iowa — Take the Over (21.5)
Oklahoma State vs Texas (Take Texas -2)
Georgia vs Alabama (Take Alabama +18.5)
Cincinnati @ Jacksonville (Take JAX +4.5)
Michigan vs Iowa — Take the Over (21.5):
As has often been the case this year, when something works, I stick with it.
Last week we moved the total for Iowa vs Nebraska to 11.5.
That worked out, and clearly, I believe in the over again.
Historically the BIG 10 Championship has seen the Ohio State’s and Michigan’s blowout the opposing team.
Iowa, has a better defense than those opposing teams, but this is also a great Michigan side.
Where the issues come up is if the Wolverines get up 21-0 and run out the clock, so if you can get over 20.5 go for it.
Oklahoma State vs Texas (Take Texas -2):
Full disclosure this is the one I am most uneasy about.
Texas should win, but they are going up against an experienced coach in Mike Gundy.
Furthermore, all the pressure is on the Longhorns to win this game, and OSU is playing with house money.
But, I needed to find a game to complete the 4 game set, so this is the one I stumbled upon.
Hook ’em Horns baby!
Georgia vs Alabama (Take Alabama +18.5):
This is an Alpha vs Alpha matchup, so you would assume it will be close.
Ultimately, the driving force behind my selection was Nick Saban’s historical record…..
In Saban’s time at Alabama he has only lost one game by more than 18 points (the 2018 National Championship vs Clemson).
I like those odds, which is why I like Alabama here.
Cincinnati @ Jacksonville (Take JAX +4.5):
To round it all off I have a Monday Night Football pick on the docket.
Jacksonville has been a good team this season, at home, and playing a Bengals team that is severely limited at quarterback.
Plus, we are getting 4 points here, so there is some wiggle room in the event of a Jaguars L.
