We have now won 3 in a row on our teaser bets for a total record of 4-3!
Let’s keep the hot streak going……
Below is your free 13 point teaser pick of the week courtesy of yours truly (along with a brief explanation for each pick).
Remember, this is a gut pick, NOT a system pick – Enjoy!
Ole Miss @ Georgia (Take UGA +2.5)
Miami @ Florida State (Take FSU -0.5)
USC @ Oregon (Take OR -1.5)
Denver @ Buffalo (Take BUF +6)
Ole Miss @ Georgia (Take UGA +2.5):
This has been a weekly occurrence to take Georgia, but “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
The actual line of -10.5 seems way too low – I think that Ole Miss is slightly overrated.
People get lulled in by the shiny objects of the Rebels (Lane Kiffin and the offense are exciting).
But the Rebels have been squeaking out wins against teams far worse than Georgia (see Texas A&M, Arkansas, Auburn).
Now Ole Miss has to go to Athens to take on the winning machine that is Georgia.
We have seen how this story has gone over the past few weeks, and I expect more of the same.
Give me Georgia +2.5.
PS: Brock Bowers looks like he will play.
Miami @ Florida State (Take FSU -0.5):
The new top team in the ACC (don’t tell Dabo Swinney I said that) is at home this week.
They face off against the ACC’s biggest failure – the Miami Hurricanes.
Moving this spread to Florida State -0.5 means this is basically a money line bet…..
There are WAYYYY worse choices to take, especially with FSU being at home.
Hence why I like Florida State to cover/win here.
USC @ Oregon (Take OR -1.5):
This one definitely has me SLIGHTLY nervous simply because USC has firepower that most teams cannot match.
Of course, the Trojans do not play defense, which is obviously problematic (for them, but not for us).
USC did fire their defensive coordinator this week, so maybe that creates a dramatic turnaround……
HOWEVER, Oregon has been THE BEST team in the PAC 12 this season.
With the Ducks being at home I do not expect the Trojans to be able to cope.
Furthermore, Oregon knows it has to win out to have any chance at making the College Football Playoff.
I do not think Oregon will let USC get the better of them aka the Ducks will cover -1.5.
Denver @ Buffalo (Take BUF +6):
With Buffalo getting 6 points at home, in primetime, and against a mediocre Broncos team – this is one I had to take.
Obviously, Buffalo has not been playing to the standards we expect, but there is a caveat – all of their losses have been away from home.
Buffalo USUALLY wins at home, and I am expecting that to continue here.
As a bonus we have the 6 points of wiggle room, so even if the Bills lose, it is not a guarantee we lose this bet.
