NFL TNF Week 4 Preview: DET @ GB

Hey,

Week 4 of the NFL slate begins with a rematch of the last regular season game of last season.

Both the Lions and Packers have reasons for optimism heading into tonight’s game, so let’s see where this game will be won….

Many Lions fans felt that the NFC North was there for the taking following the departure of Aaron Rodgers to the Jets.

Through three weeks, those fans are right.

The Lions come in at 2-1 and tied for first in the North with the Packers….. hence the reason tonight’s game is so big.

The key to Detroit’s success is efficient quarterback play from Jared Goff, which relies on not turning the ball over and getting the ball to playmakers such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam Laporta, and Jahmyr Gibbs.

If the Lions can keep doing what they do best – control the time of possession and not turn the ball over they will like their chances of winning.

For the Packers, we are still finding out how all the pieces will come together.

That said, through his first three starts Jordan Love has looked impressive at quarterback.

Sure, there have been some downfield accuracy issues, but I don’t think many Packers fans were expecting the next reincarnation of Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers straight away.

Love will need time to develop, and luckily for him he should have a couple offensive weapons back tonight.

Aaron Jones and Christian Watson, arguably the two most explosive players on the Packers offense, are both expected to play tonight (Jones only played in week one and Watson is yet to play this season).

How effective both players will be is another question but they should provide some immediate help for Love and company.

What will likely still be an issue is the offensive line health for the Packers.

David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins are both expected to be out for this one.

Detroit’s pass rush, which is lead by Aidan Hutchinson, has been strong through the first through games and could prove to be the difference in tonight’s game.

Currently the Lions are at -2.5, which is only the third time in the last thirty years that they have been favored at Lambeau Field.

This will certainly be an interesting matchup with a lot at stake for both sides.

Happy Betting!

Sincerely,

Juicy Wagers
