We have ourselves the old reliable toilet bowl this week!
No way around it – both of these teams are no bueno.
We still have a preview where we get to sit back, laugh, and dissect the misery…..
Carolina (1-7) @ Chicago (2-7) 8:15 PM EST:
So, what do you think the schedulers were thinking before the season?
Neither one of these teams seemed all that great before the year kicked off, and not much has changed through the first 9 weeks.
The Panthers have struggled to implement prized number one pick Bryce Young, which has resulted in a 1-7 record.
Young is near the bottom in nearly every statistical category, and has not looked comfortable for the Panthers.
He will HAVE to improve over the second half of the season to give the Panthers some optimism.
Meanwhile, the Bears had big expectations heading into this season, but those pretty much evaporated following a week one loss to the Packers.
At one point it looked like Chicago would completely implode following public outbursts from Justin Fields.
To the Bears credit they did win a couple of games, but Justin Fields was hurt in the process.
In his place is Tyson Bagent, who has performed to about the level one would expect.
I think this game comes down to which quarterback can make less bad plays.
In what will likely be a low scoring game, it will be up to each QB to protect the ball.
Lastly, the Bears are currently -3.5 favorites, so we will see if they can cover that……
