NFL Week 5 TNF Preview: CHI @ WAS

October 5, 2023 Articles Comments Off on NFL Week 5 TNF Preview: CHI @ WAS

It may not be the most exciting matchup but it’s still NFL!

Here is a preview of tonight’s TNF game.

Chicago (0-4) @ Washington (2-2) 8:15 PM EST:

The major headline going into this game will be Justin Fields.

There have been glimpses of his potential while being the starting quarterback for Chicago, but too often either he, the team, or both have failed to deliver.

Last week was just the latest debacle…..

The Bears blew a 28-7 lead against the other joke franchise – the Denver Broncos.

If there was one bright spot it was that Fields had his best game of the season and threw for 335 yards and 4 TDs.

Clearly then, some of the blame should be put on Chicago’s woeful defense.

In other words, expect the Commanders to have a strong showing offensively in tonight’s matchup.

The Bears have shown essentially no success in being able to stop the run or the pass.

Obviously, Washington is not boasting super stars on offense but the Commanders do have some solid players.

Brian Robinson Jr, Terry McClaurin, and Jahan Dotson are just a few of the younger players that Washington has.

Currently the Commanders are -6 favorites so the odds are in their favor in terms of winning.

For Chicago to have any chance the Bears are going to have to hope the defense plays better, and Fields continues his play from last week.

Happy Betting!
