After some lackluster matchups last week we are back with a BANG this week.
Here is your NFL Week 7 Preview.
Miami (5-1) @ Philadelphia (5-1) 8:20 PM EST:
I am hoping that this can be an all-time classic.
Miami has been able to score for fun all season, and with speed deamons like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Raheem Mostert you expect the scoring to continue.
And, Tua Tagovailoa seems to have put last years concussion issues behind him to now be a MVP front runner.
On the other side I have to ask for the real Philadelphia Eagles to please stand up?!
They have sleepwalked their way to a 5-1 record without really playing well in any game.
To win this one the Eagles will HAVE to play better, especially with a banged up secondary.
As is often the case with Philly, look for the defensive line to be the key factor in whether the Eagles can cover their -3 spread or not.
Detroit (5-1) @ Baltimore (4-2) 1:00 PM EST:
Can we take a moment to appreciate the Lions?
This is pretty much the first time in NFL history that they are relevant…..
This team might be good enough to win the freaking Super Bowl!
Whether you are 16, 26, or 66 this is the first time in any of our lifetimes that Detroit can say “We can ACTUALLY win the Super Bowl”
So who is in their way this week?
The mightyish Ravens…..
I would put the Ravens in the Eagles lite category aka they are sleep walking through games.
Baltimore still owns a 4-2 record but they will HAVE to play much better if they are going to beat the Lions.
Both of these teams like to run the ball and control the clock so whoever does that better will win this one.
Currently the Ravens are a -3 favorite…..
Los Angeles Chargers (2-3) @ Kansas City (5-1) 4:25 PM EST:
I do not think a team infuriates me more than the Chargers.
They should not be this bad!
2-3 is unacceptable for a team that has Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, and Joey Bosa.
Head coach Brandon Staley usually makes one baffling decision each week that inevitably costs his team the game.
Now the Chargers have the unenviable task of going to Arrowhead to face the mighty Chiefs.
I don’t need to go over Kansas City other than the fact the Chiefs are a -5 favorite.
I wonder if Brandon Staley will find a way to infuriate his bettors along with his fans…..
Pittsburgh (3-2) @ Los Angeles Rams (3-2) 4:05 PM EST:
The Steelers are very likely one of if not the worst teams with a winning record, but they do not care.
Despite the offense being relatively nonexistent the defense has carried the way for Pittsburgh.
Look for T.J. Watt to potentially have a monster game against a lackluster Rams offensive line.
The key for Los Angeles will be getting the ball out quickly.
If Matthew Stafford can get the ball to his two playmakers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, then the Rams will be able to cover at -3.
Atlanta (3-3) @ Tampa Bay (3-2) 1:00 PM EST:
This is a surprisingly important game for the NFC South race.
The winner of this one will move into first place in the weak division.
Of course, that is not saying much since this is one of the worst divisions in the NFL, but hey, we have to start somewhere.
Tampa Bay is a -2.5 favorite, and I am curious to see if Baker Mayfield can keep the good vibes going.
He has been far better this season than the past few years, so let’s see if he can continue his upward trajectory.
On the Falcons side be sure to watch Bijan Robinson.
That dude is going to be/is a stud.
