Monday Night Football returns with a spicy matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings.
Below is your preview for tonight’s game.
San Francisco (5-1) @ Minnesota (2-4) 8:15 PM EST:
The Vikings are the NFL’s version of the degenerate gambler – they get on a hot streak and don’t know when to quit.
As you all know by now, last year the Vikings went 11-0 in one score games on route to a fluky playoff appearance (where they lost in the first round).
This year Minnesota is already 2-4 in one scores game – that is what I like to call reversion to the mean.
Unfortunately this team is headed for the dreaded “middle of the road” – they are not TERRIBLE, but they are definitely not Super Bowl caliber either.
The 49ers ARE Super Bowl contenders and they will be looking to get back to winning ways tonight.
Despite the fact that Brock Purdy is ONLY being paid $870,000 (this whole being a professional athlete thing is a pretty sweet gig if you ask me) this year the Niners have a solid quarterback with an all star cast around him.
So what does all this mean for tonight’s matchup?
San Fran are -7 favorites and you would expect the 49ers to be able to score against Minnesota.
Can the Vikings keep up in the points column when they are already down Justin Jefferson?
If they can then this could be a close game, but if not this could get ugly for Vikings fans…..
